Brass Players Required for A Grade Brass Band

The Royal Agricultural Society of WA Brass is Western Australia’s most successful community band. With a history dating back 55 years, the band has been ‘A’ Grade Champions in Western Australia since 1979. The band was placed 2nd in the A Grade Brass at the Australian National Band Championships in 2013, taking out first place in the own choice test piece. This is the highest result at a Nationals event by any WA band in the history of WA banding.
Over the years, the band has performed under the names such as City of Stirling Brass Band, 6KY Brass, Channel 9 Brass and more recently Midland Brick Brass. In 2009 the Royal Agricultural Society of WA took over sponsorship of the band.

The band performs under the direction of Dr Alan Lourens, (Head of Music, UWA.)
Minimum standard requirement is AMEB grade 6 or equivalent. As well as supporting and performing at local events, the band regularly attends National events and embarks on tours both within WA & internationally.
